Meet Kim Lengling, a writer and publisher from Pennsylvania, USA. Kim is on a mission to spread kindness throughout the world and she shares about her battle with PTSD and how she came out the other side to courageously share her story for good.
I was deeply moved by Kim’s story and the work she is doing now.

Kim writes a monthly column for a local newspaper sharing veteran’s stories. She is a guest columnist on USMILITARY.com and is the co-host of a twice-weekly local radio show focused on veterans. She currently has two veteran-related books published. When she’s not writing or dog-sitting for her friends and family members, you can find her taking walks through the woods and fields that surround her home, crocheting, reading, listening to music, singing or assisting veterans within her community. With her wonky sense of humour and the proclivity to talk with critters, you have a small glimpse of her, but just a small one. Trigger warning: this episode contains references of a general nature to sexual assault.
About the What’s Important Now Show
The world hitting “pause” has given us a unique opportunity to reflect on how we live, work and relate to each other. In “What’s Important Now?” host Cara McCullough asks you to share what mattered before the pause, what matters now and what you’d like your new future to look like once we hit “play” again.
